I know I said I'm welcoming Fall with open arms in previous posts, but a day at the beach has me already wishing for more days of summer.
On my final day of summer, I spent the afternoon walking up and down the big rocks on the Galveston beach sea wall, filling the gaps between my toes with dampened sand, and allowing my skin to soak up one more warm tan.
Thousands of beach goers, many enjoying their day off, also participated in events similar to mine. My surroundings, while busy, proved to be so light and fun!
With Labor Day being the official close of the season, our summertime freedom appears to dwindle away from us. We're now a couple weeks (if not more) into a regular school/work routine, and the busy train keeps on moving.
Vacation days, sleeping in, and lounging at the pool also become activities of your recent past... And all you can do is your best to just be thankful you had a summer worth missing.
