When you restart you have to 'start small'

"Start Small"

"Start Small"

Change is very rarely welcomed with open arms, starting over is hard, and keeping a good idea of who you are during trying times sometimes seems impossible.

Currently in my life, I'm pushing the restart button. Life threw a curveball at me (like life tends to do when you think you have the perfect plan) and now I have to figure out exactly how I am going to carry on.

In times of uncertainty, there is really only one place I turn to... and that's my faith.

I know I'm not the only one that calls for God's biggest and best healing powers when my world feels upside down, but healing and change is a process... just like happiness, love, and peace.

Today in the mail I received a reminder of that process from my most wonderful family, Desi and Tori at All The Wire

This beautiful brass piece reads, "start small." Start small! I mean, hello? It's simple and it's genius!

How many times do I have to beat myself up before I realize that I'm never alone in my experiences, both good and bad!

This bracelet, while I wish was unique to my wrist only, can be found on hundreds of men and women right at this very second!

This band is a part of an incredible empowerment initiative to overcome whatever adversity you are facing, with the good man upstairs right by your side. It's called the Harvest Series: The Power of a Single Seed. It literally gives me chills at its pure awesomeness.  I invite you to join me on this weekly adventure. The link at the bottom of this post will take you there!

I'm a little broken today, but that doesn't mean that I'll be this way for good. Humbly, I accept the challenge to "start small" (all over again) and continue on towards my dreams ahead, on my own.

My harvest is my responsibility.

Yes,

Erika
