Well, I've officially found my dream home.
A couple weeks ago, I came across an article on Pinterest, about a house that was covered in beer cans. I thought, "that's my kind of house."
After further research, I found out this house was in Houston, just a few hours down the road! I took the opportunity to swing by over Labor Day weekend and I fell in love.
The same one story home was built by a simple man and his wife, sans beer cans, decades ago. One day, the husband decided he wanted to do something different with his home.
His wife said the neighbors didn't seem to mind her husbands creative take on the house and she enjoyed helping him cut and shape the cans to the fit different areas of their home's exterior.
For a man who decorated his home in beer cans, you'd think he was a very picky drinker... a man of special taste, but when asked what beer he preferred the most he said, "whatever's on special."
The magic of this home rested in the tiny details. My favorite parts being the chandelier style facade on the front of the house and "Golden Rule" sitting high in the front yard.
The slideshow bellow features all of those details and more.
Cheers to these two individuals for making our world a little more interesting!
