Lufkin in my rearview mirror

And just like that... I'm packed up and moving!

Six months ago, I arrived to Lufkin clueless and scared.

This wasn't my beloved college town, where I lived the most amazing college life. There weren't any sorority meetings I was expected to attended, no Fuzzy's on Tuesday night, and hardly any sleeping in. Instead, this apartment saw a lot of embarrassingly early nights, hundreds of post-it notes with story ideas on them, and work dresses that didn't quite make it into the hamper after work.

For the first several months, I was so terrified that I wasn't going to master adulthood. I was worried that people weren't going to take me seriously as a new journalist, fresh out of school.

To my great surprise, they did! They even allowed me to mess up and try again!

I take away with me so much more than just the belongings in this Uhaul.

Now for round two in this big media world!
