Start Small, then go big: California and back all by myself

Start small and then once you've done that, it's time to challenge yourself and go big!

My vision for this adventure began two years ago and unfortunately, I decided to say no to the option of seeing it through. (Click here for: Lost & Found The necklace with a dream)

In less than a week I will be setting sail from what has been my "normal life" and heading out on a adventure that spans much further than the physical ground of 5 states.

Over the course of ten days I am going to be driving, hiking, camping, hotel-ing (not a word), walking, shopping, exploring, thinking, eating, praying, loving (see what I did there?), and doing a lot of self-questioning (of the good variety) all alone

"Alone!? Erika, are you trying to get yourself hurt!?"

NO! While the term "alone" sounds vulnerable, fearful, and dumb, I have never associated myself with that description in my life (and I don't plan on starting now)

So yes, alone I go, but lonely I will not be.

My physical adventure unfolds as follows:

  • Arlington, TX
  • Amarillo, TX
  • Santa Fe, NM
  • Albuquerque, NM
  • Grand Canyon Nation Park, AZ
  • Las Vegas, NV
  • Los Angeles, CA
  • Phoenix, AZ
  • White Sands Nation Park, NM
  • Midland, TX
  • Back to work ---> Tyler, TX

Once again, I'm doing all of this in 10 days. It has to be done in 10 days, because my career depends on me being back for Good Morning East Texas Saturday!

So this becomes a challenge, a challenge of self-discipline, time-management, and patience. I'll be living out the dream I temporarily subdued. Only few are so lucky to do the same.

Nevertheless, I hope you will join me on my journey to an entirely new me.

...and sister, you really can do whatever you want in this life!

Yes,

Erika
