Confessions of a pansy: My 'It' experience

Confessions of a pansy: My 'It' experience

To my great surprise, 'It' provides a whole lot more than a scary story about a scary clown.

It was my 'fear of missing out' that tossed me head-first into this horror classic, (which I typically would have never picked up). After the record-breaking success of the new 'It' film, I couldn't stand being the only person in the world who hadn't seen the movie in theaters.

But being the total pansy that I am, I needed to know exactly what I was getting myself into before I even purchased my ticket. So that's where my month-long journey into the frightening world of Pennywise began!

Stephen King spares no details from beginning to end, making nearly 1200 pages flow much faster than I expected. I found myself hypnotized by the stories of each member of the "Losers' Club" as they face their deepest darkest fears head-on.

Pennywise is hands down the most interesting character I've come across in a book. Don't get me wrong, this clown is NOT misunderstood. It is awful in every way, shape, and form. But there is a lot to learn from its evil.

I felt a great sense of accomplishment after completing this book, and I think you will too. The perfect Halloween selection.

... and I only had a few nightmares...

Now... it's movie time! Wish me luck!
